How to reattach the my car dash after removing it?

Message par Magedam le Mar 19 Déc - 18:09

Hello all
The mechanic removed my car dash to check something in the speedometer and now when he reinstalled it..it's not in the same place as it was...so iam asking if there is any screws or something that helps in attaching the dash? thanks

Bonjour tous

What's happen manu, you don't understand what is the dash? lol!

Magedam, where is the problem exactly. If it's under the steering wheel, you got, if i remember well, 3 screws and some clip (two are just front of you, hidden by the steering wheel and not easy to remove).
If it's just around the gauge, i think you must have screws inside the dash, so you must remove the part under the steering wheel. But to be sure i will ask to the other, so could you tell us what part exactly you would replace.

Thanks Coilb...iam talking about the part around the gauges...i can't see any places for screws in this one..i think the part under the steering wheel is holding this part...am i right? it was placed in a good shape but after the mechanic removed it and tried to get it back..it's not the same...now it's kinda "falling" from the right and good from the left!..how to reattach it again to be perfect as it was? thanks...

In fact, you must have a clip hidden. You could find it when you remove the top part on the middle where the clock is. In order to remove it you must pull a little clip on the right of the airing grid and an other one on the left (red arrow). The clip is at level of the green point.
