| | Hello all..good afternoon...today i went to the mechanic to check the float in the fuel tank..because the fuel gauge always gives me "full" even if the car is running out of fuel...so..at the mechanic he take off the fuel tank..and removed the float ..he checked it...something needed soldering..and he did it..then he installed the float again..now my gauge gives me that i have 70 % of tank full..but iam sure i have only between 12 and 15 litres maximum..i also have been told that the fuel tank need to get straightened..it had a shock maybe from something in the street and it has a "curve" from the lower surface..and that can has an impact on the level of fuel the guage tells me...any suggestions? |

| | I think you could do nothing. Mine, when show half of the tank i have a little bit more and when show a quarter i have a little bit less. So, i think all are just an indicator of the level on the fuel but not very true of the real level. They are right only your tank is empty. |

yes you are right coilb...i have read an article about this..and i think most indicators will give you "full" at first...and then it will suddenly give you empty or before empty...but at least it will give u a notice..also iam sure when it will give you empty...the tank will have at least it's quarter of fuel..which is good...thanks alot |
